Journey to the Forest

The best time to visit Bwindi for gorilla trekking is during the dry season, which runs from June to September and December to February. These months offer optimal trekking conditions with less rainfall and more stable trails. However, the wet season, from March to May and October to November, can offer a more tranquil experience with fewer visitors and lush, vibrant green landscapes.
While the dry season is ideal for trekking, visiting during the wet season still offers the chance to experience the park in its full, unspoiled beauty. The forest is quieter, and the birds and wildlife are just as active, making it a rewarding time for nature lovers.
Accommodation around Bwindi is carefully curated to offer comfort, luxury, and a connection to nature. From intimate tented camps to luxury lodges perched on the edge of the forest, there is something for every type of traveler. Lodges like Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge and Buhoma Lodge offer panoramic views of the mist-covered forest and the surrounding hills, creating a tranquil retreat after a day of trekking.
