- Travel Tips
Uganda is a year-round destination, but for the best experience, we recommend visiting during the dry seasons from December to February and June to September. These months are ideal for gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris, and other outdoor activities, as the weather is drier, making the terrain easier to navigate.
The green seasons, from March to May and October to November, are quieter and offer lush, beautiful landscapes perfect for photography and bird watching.
Visas:
Most travellers will need a visa to enter Uganda. You can easily apply for an East African visa online or on arrival.
Health:
We recommend malaria prophylaxis, along with vaccinations for yellow fever and other recommended inoculations.
Currency:
The local currency is the Ugandan Shilling, but US dollars are widely accepted in many areas.
